Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy: Seven Areas of Focus

The following pages describe the specific clinical areas I work within — different entry points into the same underlying approach to depth-oriented psychotherapy, practiced in Miami and throughout Florida. Not separate therapies with different methods, but different ways of arriving at the same place: attending to the whole person, integrating psychodynamic inquiry, somatic awareness, and relational presence.

What differs is where we begin. Someone navigating chronic illness may arrive through the body’s experience of stress and identity disruption. A creative professional may begin with blocks and visibility anxiety. A high achiever may come in through burnout or the quiet sense that something essential is missing.
Whatever brings you here, the work moves toward the same place: a deeper understanding of yourself, greater emotional freedom, and a life that feels more genuinely yours.

Areas of Depth-Oriented Work

Across all of these areas, my approach is relational, unhurried, and oriented toward genuine understanding rather than symptom management alone. I am not a practitioner of a specific protocol. I work from a depth-oriented, psychodynamically informed foundation that integrates somatic awareness; attending to the body as a source of intelligence alongside insight and language.

I have completed BodyDreaming Training, a three-year post-graduate program integrating Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, Attachment, Jungian, and Feminist orientations, developed by Jungian Analyst Marian Dunlea. This training deepens the somatic and depth-psychological foundation of my work.

Sessions are 50 minutes. Longer sessions are available when clinically appropriate. I offer in-person psychotherapy in Coconut Grove, Miami and telehealth throughout Florida.

Clinical Areas

Somatic Therapy for Trauma

Body-based, trauma-informed psychotherapy attending to the nervous system, somatic patterns, chronic illness, and intergenerational dynamics. For those whose experience of trauma lives not only in memory but in the body itself. For more information click here.

Therapy for High Achievers & Professionals

Depth-oriented work for those managing well externally while navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, imposter syndrome, or the quiet exhaustion of high-functioning environments. For professionals and entrepreneurs who understand the pressure they carry but find it difficult to change. For more information click here.

Therapy for Creatives & Artists

For those navigating creative inhibition, visibility anxiety, identity, self-doubt, or the complex inner life of the creative process. Work that takes seriously the relationship between creativity, emotional life, and the search for meaning — without reducing it to pathology. For more information click here.

Depth Psychotherapy & Dreamwork

Psychodynamic and psychoanalytic exploration of unconscious patterns, symbolic meaning, relational history, and long-range psychological development. For seekers and those whose experiences of the sacred, the symbolic, or the non-ordinary do not fit neatly into conventional frameworks — and who are drawn to understanding not just what they do, but why, at the deepest level. For more information click here.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy

Affirming, depth-oriented support for neurodivergent adults navigating identity, late diagnosis, burnout, masking, and self-understanding. Work that does not pathologize difference but explores its meaning and impact with curiosity. For more information click here.

Holistic Therapy for Chronic Illness & Pain

Attending to the psychological dimensions of chronic illness — grief, identity disruption, the body’s story, and the mind-body relationship. For those whose inner experience of illness has gone unaddressed alongside the medical. For more information click here.

Therapy for Adolescents & Emerging Adults

For teenagers, college students, and young adults navigating the particular pressures of early identity formation — the weight of expectation, the search for authenticity, the experience of not yet knowing who one is or what one wants. Depth-oriented work that takes the inner life of young people seriously, without reducing their struggles to phase or symptom. For more information click here.
